Crystal Palace, London, England

The Crystal Palace was the first large scale building to use strictly glass and iron. It is a more classical version of Mies Van Der Rhoe's later buildings which also use large amounts of glass and iron. Though the Crystal Palace has many classical elements it is pioneering the modernist style, even if Joseph Paxton didn't intend to.
